ReCue Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
ReCue is a local-first desktop utility for quick task capture, resurfacing, and lightweight focus tracking. This policy explains what data ReCue stores and how that data is handled.
Data Stored by ReCue
ReCue stores app data locally on your device in Electron's application user data directory. The local data file may include:
- task text you enter into ReCue
- task state, such as Do Now, Waiting On, Triage Later, or Done
- resurface times for hidden tasks
- Work Player settings, such as visibility and position
- local focus-session records, including start time, end time, duration, and task name
- your configured quick capture shortcut
No Account or Cloud Sync
ReCue does not require an account. ReCue does not provide cloud sync, collaboration, or a remote task storage service.
No Analytics or Advertising
ReCue does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics services, or behavioral tracking services.
Network Use
ReCue's core task capture, resurfacing, Work Player, and dashboard features are designed to work locally. ReCue does not send your task content or focus-session content to a remote backend.
Data Control
You control the data you enter into ReCue. You can delete tasks in the app, remove individual focus sessions, or clear focus history from the dashboard. Uninstalling the app may not automatically remove all local application data, depending on your operating system and uninstall method.
Children's Privacy
ReCue is a general productivity utility and is not directed to children.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated when ReCue's features or data handling change. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
